Do you know an 11-18 year old aspiring artist?
Monday, June 16th, 2008I have had several requests from parents of 11 -18 year olds with a desire to learn watercolors or improve their art over the summer. I am trying to organize a 6-week class, starting in June. It would be held at the Lake Forest Lodge, lower level, probably on Wednesdays, 12:15p-2:30p. Cost: $95.00, plus bring your own supplies. If you know of someone who might be interested, please email me. I will need a minimum of 5 students to conduct the class.
Learn to Paint Watercolors for Adults!
Tuesday, June 03rd, 2008Beginning Watercolor Classes for adults are ongoing. Every Thursday, 12:15-2:45pm, Lake Forest Lodge- Lower Level Rec Room. $95 for 6 weeks. Every class includes demonstration, drawing, color, composition and design theory, and student painting w/ individual instruction. Most of all we have FUN! Kentucky Watercolor Society Gallery
Tuesday, June 03rd, 2008I will be hosting the KWS Gallery (at Mellwood Arts and Entertainment Center) on the following dates:Friday, June 6th and Friday, July 25th between the hours 11:30-4:30pm. I usually demonstrate watercolors while there, so if you have any interest in seeing how they are done, come visit me!

I live in "Derby City" and visit Churchill Downs at least once or twice a year. This painting was completed from a photo I took last year. It is currently hanging down at the KWS Gallery.
